Something loud is coming to solihull
Something loud is coming to solihull
What to expect
This is not your nan’s choir!
It’s a relaxed singing experience, led by a professional singer and performer, designed to lift your mood and shake off the week.
No judgement, no pressure, just people coming together to learn great songs, have a laugh, and maybe enjoy a drink (or two) along the way.
You’ll feel the buzz of vocal harmonies and have fun singing your heart out, whether you’re a total beginner, a seasoned car singer or a pro.
Who’s behind it?
That’s me! Hi! I’m David Ripado.
I’m the musical director and occasional manager of chaos.
I’ve built my career as a professional singer and actor in Portugal, working across everything from studio sessions and voiceover to TV, alongside over 20 years of vocal coaching.
But the stage has always been my home — as a frontman with orchestras, rock and jazz bands, and through musical theatre, including leading roles in The Phantom of the Opera or Jesus Christ Superstar.
I’ve recently landed in Solihull, and I started this not just to bring people together through music, but because I’m keen to make friends and be part of the local community too. I’ve always been fascinated by the power of voices coming together… that shared moment when harmonies click and something bigger happens.
My mission is to guide you through each session in a relaxed, supportive way, helping you sound better, feel more confident, and have a great time along the way.
How it works
Sessions last around 75–90 minutes and spots are limited to keep the it personal and fun, so booking ahead is recommended.
Warm up & switch off
We start with a light vocal warm-up (nothing scary) to wake up the voice and help you shake off the day.
Learn & sing together
We dive into well-known songs — pop, rock and feel-good classics — building the harmonies as a group. You can sing loudly, quietly, confidently or cautiously. Everyone finds their place.
Step by step, we shape the song together — working on structure, exploring dynamics, and bringing all the parts together for the grand finale.
Stay for the vibe
Make the most of that unmistakable post-singing buzz — optional drinks, new faces and a proper midweek mood lift.
How Much?
Our first session is a free taster — just come along and see what all the fuss is about.
After that: £10 if you book in advance
£12 on the door
Pay-as-you-go. No contracts. No pressure.
You can pay easily via Revolut, PayPal or cash before the session starts.
No subscriptions. No long-term commitment.
Just show up, sing your heart out, and head home feeling better than when you arrived.
Drinks are available from the venue throughout — because singing works best when properly hydrated.
